[Jump(over)] or [Jump(under)]

This option performs a jump-over (or jump-under respective) move on a diagram. This move preserves knot type.

Usage

  1. Choose [Jump(over)] ([Jump(under)] resp.).
  2. On a diagram, consider an over (under resp.) bridge. For this option "over bridge" ("under bridge" resp.) means a segment that has no under-crossing (over-crossing resp.). Left click on each end of the bridge. A small circle will then appear on each endpoint.
  3. Move the segment by dragging its midpoint. Self crossings of the segment during this motion are allowed. Note that the endpoints will remain fixed during this motion.
  4. When you have dragged the segment to its desired position, right click and the jump-over(jump-under resp.) move will be performed. The (possible) self crossings of the segment are treated as if the segment be decreasing(increasing resp.).
