Analysis Prize Regulations

Established on April 21, 2001

(Purpose)

1.

In order to publicly honor the researchers who have attained remarkable achievements in the field of mathematical analysis or related fields, the Analysis Prize was established.

(Object)

(a)

Any candidate for the Analysis Prize must be a member of the Mathematical Society of Japan.

(b)

The research results for which the prize is given must have been attained within about the last five years, although books which were written slightly earlier can also be taken into account.

(Number of winners)

3.

Selection for the Analysis Prize will be done by the selection committee once per year. The number of winners can be at most three.

(Award ceremony)

4.

The award ceremony will be held in the autumn meeting of the Mathematical Society of Japan.

(Change of regulations)

5.

Regulations can be changed if approved by two-thirds or more of the selection committee.

(Additional rule)

6.

These regulations came into effect from April 1, 2002.
