Nara is an old capital of Japan.

How to visit Nara from Kobe?

Take a Hanshin train to Kintetsu Nara. (Kintetsu is the name of a railway company. The Kintetsu Nara station and the JR Nara stations are not at the same place.) Hanshin train leaves from the underground Hanshin Sannomiya station under the SOGO department store ( map ). Trains marked with blue will bring you to Kintetsu Nara station from Sannomiya in this time table of weekdays. For example, trains for Kintetsu Nara leave on 8:05, 8:17, 8:29, 8:41. The time table for Saturday and Sunday is here . The ticket price is 940 yen and it will take about 1 hour and half. Main stations are Sannomiya -(23min)- Amagasaki -(19min)-Osaka Namba -(42min)-Kintetsu Nara. If you visit Nara from a different area, please look up the page of tourist office of nara .

Todaiji, Kofukuji, and Nara national musium are in walking distance from the Kintetsu Nara station. Horyuji below is not in walking distance from the Kintetsu Nara station and you need to take a taxi. (The nearest JR station of Horyuji is the JR Horyuji station. You can visit Horyuji by the JR line, too.)

6. JR Nara station (JR奈良駅)

Please go to the JR Nara station .
Translation: JR奈良駅へ行ってください.
