All papers can be downloaded from
Kobe Journal of Mathematics, Kobe University Kernel
All papers in Mathematics seminar notes (Kobe University), the predecessor journal, can also be downloaded from the above site.
Papers are invited on subjects of pure and applied mathematics. All papers are refereed. We do not charge for publication.
Manuscripts, intended for publication in Kobe Journal of Mathematics should be sent to the following Managing Editor's e-mail address and one of the editors listed below whose field is nearest to that of manuscript can be indicated. Any TeX style (e.g., amsart, article) is acceptable. Japanese speakers may use Japanese.
All editorial correspondences, and other communication should be addressed to:
Kobe Journal of Mathematics, Managing Editor
kjm[at]math.kobe-u.ac.jp
(replace [at] to @)
After acceptance, we require authors to convert their manuscript to our LaTeX style file and submit the TeX source files. We usually send the proofreading within one month of receiving the source files, and the article is typically published about one month after the proofs are returned.
When your e-mail address changes during the submission process (between submission and publication), please inform the Managing Editor of your new address. If we are unable to reach you despite reasonable efforts, the submission and acceptance of the publication may need to be canceled.
We do not require any specific file format for submission; however, we strongly encourage authors to use TeX, as it greatly facilitates the review and production process. The conversion of the manuscript to our LaTeX style file after acceptance is the responsibility of the authors, and this requirement is the same for the non-TeX style submissions (Word etc). Manuscripts must be written in English. If you wish to reproduce images etc, from published papers or books etc, you must obtain permissions from the copyright holders. If your manuscript is accepted, you may be asked to submit the permissions after acceptance. You can use the color figures freely.
When making a submission, we request that you clearly state the name of this journal in the main body of your email to confirm you are indeed making a submission to this journal, and only this journal. If your email body does not contain the journal's name, we cannot recognize it as a submission to this journal, and the submission will be disregarded, and we will not reply. For instance, the following simple template would suffice.
I submit the attached manuscript Paper title to Kobe J. Math. Sincerely yours Your name
If you are making a submission by just referring
to a list of journals (UGC-CARE list, etc),
then please make sure of the following:
Generally speaking, it is fine to submit your paper
by referring to some list only,
but please take
a close look at previous papers in our
journal to see whether your submission fits our scope.

Submission of the manuscript to the Kobe Journal of Mathematics (Journal) implies that submitted manuscripts have not been published, nor will be simultaneously submitted or published elsewhere. By submitting a manuscript to the Journal, the authors agree that, effective upon acceptance for publication, the copyright to their manuscript is transferred to the Journal worldwide for the full term of copyright, which includes renewals and extensions, under the terms and conditions as will be given in the copyright agreement consent. This journal is a continuation of the Mathematics Seminar Notes, vol. 1 - vol. 11 (1973-1983), and is published in one volume in each year.
