With the kind permission of the author, Michael Messollen, Macaulay 2 incorporates Singular-Libfac, version 3.0.1, a free library of routines, depending on Singular-Factory, that provides factorization of multivariate polynomials over finite fields and computation of the minimal associated primes of ideals via characteristic sets.
